Dr. Bill Bailey is a Certified Natural Health Professional, and holds a doctorate in Natural Health in the field of Naturopathy. He also has a Ph.D. in Theology, and is a Certified Traditional Naturopath, certified by the American Naturopathic Certification Board (ANCB.) He is also a Master Herbalist, and a Professional Member of the American Association of Nutritional Consultants, and of the Coalition for Natural Health. He also serves as webmaster for the North Carolina Citizens for Healthcare Freedom.

Dr. Bailey has well over thirty years of experience as a computer professional, and works as a Systems Architect at UNC Healthcare - High Point Regional. Dr. Bill is a CIW Certified Master System Administrator. This is a major certification achievement that involves these intermediate certifications: CIW Web Professional Foundations Associate, CIW Server Administration Professional, CIW Security Professional, and the CIW Internetworking Professional certification. He also is a Certified Citrix Administrator, and a VMware Certified Professional as well as an EC-Council Certified Security Analyst and a CIW Certified Security Analyst. He is also an Imprivata Certified Engineer in both Single Sign-On and Authentication Management. He manages both Microsoft Windows and Open Source Linux servers, and has a particular dedication to the Open Source movement. He believes that the best software, as well as the humans that use it, should be free! He is a system and network engineer, and loves "Geek Culture!" His blog, "Dr. Bill: The Computer Curmudgeon" is a platform to express his quest to free the world of monopolistic tyranny, and make the world a safer place for computing.
