Today Telestream Inc released the latest update to their Wirecast live streaming software. Arguably the biggest feature in the latest release is the virtual camera output in the Windows version of Wirecast. This will allow users to output their Wirecast output to video applications like Skype and Google + Hangouts. The virtual camera output can also be used to output Wirecast to other encoders like Flash Media Live encoder. Other improvements include updates to the Main Concept and Flash libraries, which brings users the option to use high profile H.264 video for betting looking webcasts. Wirecast 4.2 also adds support for Matrox's newly announced VS4 capture card, Blackmagic's Intensity Extreme and UltraStudio 3D and the Matrox MX02. This gives users more input options than ever before.
