TWIT.TV announced that the podcast gaming show Game On aired its final episode on April 8th.  Game On was a podcast about assorted gaming topics and although it showed a strong audience, averaging about 27,000 an episode, it did not achieve the needed 50,000 viewers that would ensure a profitable addition to TWIT.tv’s broadcast lineup.

YouTube has just made itself more indispensible to both private and commercial media users by monetizing its live streaming with pay-per-view services. Having experimented successfully with live streaming technology for the last year, including airing UFC fights, YouTube is now making this service available for interested distributors, making it part of YouTube Live.

Cloud content is the next evolution of digital media, and Brightcove Inc. announced that it will be providing live and on-demand cloud content streaming from the National Association of Broadcasters 2012 Show in Las Vegas, April 14 to the 19th.

It was leaked this week that Wirecast will be the official streaming software for YouTube's live streaming service. No word yet when this will be officially announced or when YouTube Live will be launched for all users.
